Volunteer services are provided through the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of North Texas. RSVP establishes work sites through agreements with non-profit and health organizations. Volunteers 55 and older are then recruited and matched with an appropriate work site.
A list consisting of a wide variety of volunteer opportunities and job descriptions are maintained in the RSVP office. Anyone interested in volunteering is welcome to come by the office at 4309 Jacksboro Highway, Suite 200, Wichita Falls and look over the list. Volunteers may choose where, when and how many hours they wish to contribute based on their schedule. Volunteers and work sites are recognized at the annual Silver Award Ceremony held in April of each year where special awards are presented. Liability insurance is provided to volunteers while they are on their volunteer assignment at no charge to either the volunteer or the work site.
There is something for EVERYONE at RSVP and we encourage those 55 and over to make a difference in the lives of others in their community.
