This course is designed to help prepare the new supervisor for their supervisory role. This course meets the requirements for compliance with 415.034 Texas Government Code and 1701.252 Occupations Code for new supervisors.

This course covers the supervisor’s role; values, ethics, and principles; communication; leadership styles; planning and organizing; counseling; liability issues; civil rights, racial sensitivity, and cultural diversity; and special investigative issues (child abuse, child neglect, family violence, sexual assault, and characteristics of sex offenders).
